Na Baan Pier
The main village pier, facing Jomtien. The all-year, all-day workhorse route. Board on the right at the end of Bali Hai Pier.
Almost everyone crosses from Bali Hai Pier at the foot of Walking Street. Two ways over the 7 km of water: cheap-and-classic, or fast-and-flexible.

Getting to Koh Larn: take the ~40฿ public ferry from Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya (about 30–45 min) to Na Baan, or a ~15–20 minute speedboat that can land at any beach. The last boat back is late afternoon — confirm it when you arrive.
Southern end of Pattaya, at the foot of Walking Street. This is the departure point for almost everyone. It's a working pier — follow the signs and staff to the right boat, and ignore touts steering you to pricier 'private' options unless that's what you want.
Driving? There is paid parking near Bali Hai Pier if you drive, but it can fill on busy days — arrive early or use a taxi/Grab.
A speedboat can land you directly at almost any beach — Samae, Tien and the rest — instead of just the piers. Good for groups, late starts, reaching a specific quiet beach, or anyone who finds the pier-and-songthaew shuffle hard. Agree the price, the destination and the return arrangement before you board.
Speedboats bounce hard in chop — if you're prone to seasickness the slower ferry is gentler. Sit centrally, look at the horizon, and consider motion-sickness tablets taken in advance.
The public ferry is about 40฿ one-way (raised from 30฿ in April 2026), paid in cash on boarding. A speedboat seat is roughly 200–300฿, or about 1,500–2,000฿ to charter the whole boat.
The public ferry takes about 30–45 minutes to Na Baan or Tawaen; a speedboat does it in about 15–20 minutes and can land at any beach.
From Bali Hai Pier at the southern end of Pattaya, at the foot of Walking Street. Na Baan boats board on the right at the end of the pier; seasonal Tawaen boats board on the left.
Typically late afternoon to early evening, but it varies by season and pier — always confirm the last return when you arrive. Miss it and your only way back is a chartered speedboat.
Most visitors reach the island via Pattaya. If you’re starting in the capital, see Bangkok to Koh Larn for the bus and transfer options, or which airport to fly into.
