A short departure checklist
- Read the marine forecast, including its issue time and Upper Gulf section.
- Check the ferry: 17:00 is the scheduled last Tawaen return; Na Baan lists 18:00.
- Establish your transfer and return arrangement before heading to another beach.
- Ask about accepted payment methods, the current menu and any charge for beach facilities.
- For overnight plans, check your booking and pier pickup before relying on them.
Cash, cards and fees
No current bank or ATM-operator source was verified for a universal foreign-card withdrawal fee on the island. No single fee is presented as universal. Check the machine’s disclosed fee and your own bank’s terms before proceeding. We also cannot verify every shop’s card acceptance.
Entry and beach charges
The tourism directory marks Tawaen, Samae, Tien and Nual as having no attraction admission charge, but those undated records do not establish a current island-wide fee policy. Beach services may have separate terms. We do not infer “no island fee today” from a council discussion in 2018.

Packing around the plan
- Carry water and sun protection, and keep items you cannot get wet protected on the crossing.
- For a rental, bring the documents the operator requires and check helmet provision before riding.
- For water activities, establish what equipment is supplied and what you need to bring.
- For a room, confirm check-in, pier pickup, luggage arrangements and any vehicle return deadline.
