Chon Buri forecast
Read the current provincial forecast rather than inferring conditions from a month or season.
Choose from current conditions
Plan around the current TMD weather and shipping forecast, the posted ferry return and local beach flags. Confirm the accepted payment method, stay inside marked swimming areas and keep clear of boat lanes. Emergencies: 1669 medical, 191 or 1599 police, 1155 Tourist Police and 1199 Marine Department.
Begin with the sea and weather, then test the ferry window against the kind of day you want. This chapter separates current checks from dated demand context.
Choose the day from the current Thai Meteorological Department Chon Buri forecast and shipping warning, then confirm the ferry at Pier A. This release does not publish an evidence-bounded season or month ranking.
Read the current provincial forecast rather than inferring conditions from a month or season.
Check the current TMD marine forecast and any small-vessel warning.
Confirm the route, departure and return with the ferry operator; a forecast is not an operating notice.
Conditions and operations can change through the day. Check TMD's Chon Buri forecast, read the Gulf of Thailand section of the shipping forecast and check any active warning, then confirm the sailing at Pier A. Do not copy an Andaman Sea warning onto Koh Larn. A regional forecast is not itself a ferry cancellation notice, and a posted timetable is not a guarantee that a boat will run in unsuitable conditions.
Planning by season? Read the rainy-season decision guide, then come back to these live travel-day checks.
Use the series narrowly: the annual totals and 2025 monthly bounds are arithmetic over the published rows. They do not reveal causes, measure unique people, define carrying capacity, identify a “best month,” predict a particular beach or sailing, or replace a travel-day check.
These are the decisions that shape comfort on the island: what to carry, how to handle payment, who needs extra access planning and how to travel responsibly.
This release did not field-verify ATM locations, payment-method acceptance or current withdrawal fees. Confirm the accepted method with the ferry operator and each venue, keep a practical payment backup and do not build the day around finding an island ATM. Ask for the full price before using transport, a lounger or a paid activity.
Coverage and venue Wi-Fi were not independently measured for this release. Download the map, ferry details and essential contact information before crossing if connectivity matters to the trip.
Toilet, shower, shade, lounger, price and accessibility details were not field-verified for this release. If one is essential, confirm the exact beach facility and operating status before travelling.
Pattaya City describes the island as mostly mountainous. This release did not field-audit a continuous step-free route from either ferry arrival through a transfer to a beach, toilet or property. Ask each named ferry, transfer and accommodation provider about boarding assistance, surfaces, gradients and gaps before committing; do not infer accessibility from a map distance or direct landing.
A family visit requires continuous supervision around ferries, roads, marked swimming zones, boats, water sports and wildlife. Choose a beach only after confirming the facilities and access your group needs, carry shade and drinking water, and do not treat the calendar as a calm-water guarantee.
The Koh Larn Branch dataset records 6,996 tonnes of general waste during calendar 2024. A separate DMCR record says 20 volunteer divers recovered 58 kg of underwater debris around the Koh Larn island group on 20 July 2026 and that mooring buoys were repaired to reduce anchoring damage to coral. These are dated management records, not proof of today's cleanliness or reef condition.
Infrastructure record, not a performance claim: an official 10 April 2026 opening report attributes to the project operator a design of two 25-tonne-per-day furnaces under a 25-year BOT arrangement. It does not establish actual throughput, uptime, emissions compliance, backlog clearance, environmental benefit or current island cleanliness.
The final chapter keeps water safety, emergency contacts and commercial checks together so the information is fast to recover when it matters.
Boat & watersports lanes: Never swim or snorkel outside the marked zones or into operating boat and water-sports lanes.
Strong sun & heat: Hydrate, seek shade midday, reapply sunscreen, and watch for heat exhaustion — especially with kids and on the hills.
Road and vehicle conditions: Verify the actual route and conditions. Ride only with a suitable vehicle, helmets for driver and passenger, relevant experience and a licence valid in Thailand for the category.
Rental terms: Document existing damage, read the deposit and insurance terms, and confirm the complete price before accepting any vehicle or watercraft.
Sea conditions: Stay inside marked swimming areas, keep clear of boat lanes and follow any local flag or closure instruction.
Jellyfish risk is condition-specific, so follow local warning signs and do not infer safety from the calendar. The first-aid steps below follow current Department of Marine and Coastal Resources guidance for a suspected dangerous-jellyfish sting.
Pattaya City's organization plan includes Ban Koh Larn Community Medical Center within the Koh Larn Branch. The evidence does not establish current opening hours, walk-in access, staffing, equipment, billing or emergency capability. For a medical emergency call 1669; for current municipal service information Pattaya City publishes Contact Center 1337.
No publication page can declare the island or water safe for a particular person or day. Save the official numbers before crossing, follow local instructions and call the appropriate service when urgent help is needed.
Emergency-service boundary: the official contact records confirm the numbers. They do not establish English-language availability, a Koh Larn response time, evacuation arrangements, equipment or cost.
